I’m Amanda Cavanaugh, a copyeditor, proofreader, and lifelong lover of the written word (particularly of science fiction and fantasy). This led me to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a Creative Writing Emphasis from Western Washington University and a Certificate in Editing from the University of Washington. I have an analytical mind and a keen attention for detail, but more than that, I want to help you make your manuscript the best it can be. As an editor, I want to help you strengthen your prose and catch those pesky typos!

For non-manuscript works, I am highly conscious of accessibility barriers and want to help you break those down. I strive to embody the ideals of plain language: writing that is simple, clear, and concise.
